My family and I have been making “Snowballs” on the holidays pretty much my entire life.  I decided one New Years Eve to spice things up a bit, so I added Champagne and gold sprinkles!  Needless to say they came out AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL. Here is the recipe:

Recipe:

I cup sweet salted REAL butter

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1/3 tsp Mexican vanilla

1 tsp Champagne (I like a Brut Rose)

2 cups Flour

1/2 cup chopped pecans

Sifted powdered sugar for dusting

Instruction:

Cream first four ingredients and 1 Tbsp of warm water. Stir in flour and pecans.  Mix to incorporate all ingredients, but don’t over mix.  Form into a little smaller than “golf ball” size balls.  Place on uncreased cookie sheet, bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes. Let cool and coat in powdered sugar and gold sprinkles. Yields approximately 60 cookies.

Obviously, since you’re not using the entire bottle of champagne, pour a glass, grab a couple of cookies and cozy up next to the fire place and ENJOY!

Peace, Love and Butterflies,
